Wow, I have not been here in a moment, but a lot has been going on in my life. I am blessed to ring in the new years with my son! I am blessed to have finished my first semester of law school--even while working 40 hrs. a week.
Well, I had a friend tell me that I f'ed up my son's life because I moved away to get a job with the federal government and start law school. Um, let's review the logic here. Here I am a African American male with an outstanding GPA (under grad and grad) who is being sought after by an agency, that is paying extremely well. Let's weigh the options: Admissions Counselor or a Federal Investigator job with the option to transfer. I am going to say the Fed. job wins. It never ceased to amaze me that individuals would use the most softest spot in your life to hit you hard with. Therefore, just focus on your best efforts in life. Just move on, and remove the negativity. Furthermore, don't let anyone ridicule or belittle the accomplishments in your life--sometimes, you have to toot your own horn people. That individual graduated college and is doing absolutely nothing worthwhile. If hanging out with friends and family is the measurement of success, then by all means I am in the wrong profession.
On another note, I should be starting my 90 day body transformation within the next week or so. I will definitely keep you posted on that. Until then, stay astute!
Best Regards,
D'Ontae D. Sylvertooth
